Crimson Light

A Poetic Prayer for Release, Renewal, and Inner Peace

by Barb Casper

The moon wears her red cloak tonight,
a reminder that endings are holy,
that shadows are not punishments
but doorways.

Breathe into the weight you have carried,
and with each breath out,
let it fall away—
old stories, old fears,
skins too tight for the person you am becoming.

The blood moon whispers:
you are allowed to release,
you are allowed to rest,
you are allowed to change.

From the silence of the eclipse
comes a quiet knowing—
that healing is not rushing,
but listening.
That renewal is not forced,
but welcomed.

Open your heart to the darkness,
not as an enemy,
but as a teacher.
Open your spirit to the light returning,
not as a miracle,
but as a cycle we belong to.

And when the moon steps back
into her full brightness,
step with her—
lighter, clearer,
more whole,
ready to begin again.
